Chapel Hill police said they believe a single suspect painted the word "goon" in five locations throughout downtown Sunday night.
Each of the five cases was reported Tuesday, according to a police bulletin. The vandalism is believed to have taken place between 6 p.m. Sunday and 12:30 a.m. Monday.
The locations (noted on map, below) were:
- Hargraves Center at 216 N. Roberson St.
- A property owned by the town at 208 Sunset Drive
- A post office at 179 E. Franklin St.
- Bank of America Plaza at 137 E. Rosemary St.
- A property at 109 E. Franklin St.
