Crews finish stringing power lines over U.S. 1

Progress Energy crews finished stringing power lines over parts of U.S. Highway 1 and Walnut Street Sunday morning, Cary dispatch officials said.

Portions of U.S. 1 and Walnut Street, near Interstate 40, were closed during the operation.

Crews completed the work, and the roads were cleared by around 10:30 a.m.
