The N.C. Center for Missing Persons has canceled a Silver Alert for a missing Oxford man.
A Silver Alert was issued Thursday afternoon for Billy Joe Weaver, 47, who was believed to be suffering from dementia or some other cognitive impairment.
Officials believed Weaver walked away from the Oxford Family Physicians office in Oxford at 11:10 a.m. Thursday.
The Silver Alert was canceled just after 5:30 p.m. Thursday. No additional information was available.
