Charles Zeigra, 58, of Raleigh, had just taken off from a private airstrip near Dunn when his wing clipped the ground, causing the crash that claimed his life.
A preliminary report from federal investigators indicates that Zeigra was just five minutes into his flight June 14 when his ultralight plane crashed.
