22-Year-Old Man Charged With Statutory Rape

Moore County deputies arrested a Candor man for the statutory rape of a 14-year-old girl on Thursday.

The alleged rape occurred near the town of Robbins, where the victim lives, officials said.

Deputies arrested Paulino Vasquez Hernandez, 22, of 142 Shady Acres, on the same day which the incident was reported. He faces charges of statutory rape and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Hernandez was being held under a $75,000 secured bond Thursday morning. His first court date was set for April 14.
