Somewhere, a polka band might be dealing in some hot brass.
Fourteen sousaphones were stolen recently from the band room at North Carolina Central University, police said Tuesday. The instruments – six Conn sousaphones and eight Jupiter sousaphones worth about $3,000 each – were taken sometime in December or early January.
