Shayne Gostisbehere: 'Got to be aware'

Yeah for sure I guess that's why there's 7 of

these things

We did a lot of good things tonight

They obviously did some great things too

It was a back and forth game for sure so

it's good to be out there and see how the

series is going to be

It's going to be a tough one for sure

Did it feel difficult to sort out the defensive coverages

and some of those goals Yeah a little bit

I think they got some bounces too

They're a highly skilled team

They've got a lot of playmakers out there so we've

got to be aware of all situations

How concerned are you with the power right now Um

you know we just got to get our looks um

you know we got two really good units um you

know I think we had some good play just you

know maybe settle down a little bit more patient don't

force things and um you know come back to it

Can you walk us through the hurdle goal he just

comes off the wall Yeah um he like tried to

shoot it and you know I took a breather for

a second and went right to their guy and that's

how quick it could happen

Um yeah that one's definitely on me

You know just took a breather for a second

Did you see enough you liked out of this game

to feel good about it at the same time like

there's stuff to build on for Game two For sure

we did some great things you know getting pucks deep

causing turnovers

Our 4 check was doing great too so um just

cleaning up some things and I think we'll be OK

What was the issue I guess maybe commander zone against

their their 4 check that he made in the second

period

Yeah I think they're a heavy 4 chick team

They're going to finish every hit maybe a little different

than what we just played against

Maybe take some time to get used to but it's

about us getting pucks out you know whoever's going to

break the puck out better is going to have more

success

So you know obviously you've just got to clean that

up
