Duke player: Harassment by sports betting losers is out of hand

Duke men's basketball player Isaiah Evans said prop bets aren't healthy for the sports. He told WRAL's Brian Murphy that he and his Blue Devil teammates hear from people about their prop bets, including immediately after Saturday's ACC Tournament semifinal, and it is not helpful, even harrassment.

I talked to the commissioner of the ACC

He'd like to get rid of prop bets especially on

college players

I wonder if you if you hear about that like

hey you didn't you didn't score enough today

You guys won but you didn't get enough threes

Yeah it's definitely ridiculous

Um yeah I mean I think yeah prop bets just

aren't healthy for the sport you know uh especially you

know with the threats that

A lot of our players get I mean I mean

not even our players across the league you know it's

just it gets a little ridiculous

Do you hear about that I mean you hear it

in your DMs or you hear it yeah for sure

like people just you know they get upset which isn't

really my um concern but you know it's yeah it's

definitely getting out of hand for sure in my opinion

Is that something your teammates deal with You guys talk

about like you know yeah I mean

You know we laugh about it

It doesn't really get to us

It's just kind of like immature you know

It's just like you know we're out here doing what

we do

We're winning games

We're not we're not worried about your prop bets bro

What's like the craziest or most out of pocket you

receive those lines I mean I just got a text

right now

Some dude told me I will help you blow your

knee out you know yeah like it gets it gets

out of pocket for sure
