Two Wake Forest business owners are pleading for the public's help identifying a hit-and-run driver who crashed into their store just days before its grand opening.
The incident happened Saturday at Acai Express on Capital Boulevard. A vehicle crashed into the storefront, leaving behind a trail of destruction and delaying the long-awaited opening.

The owners had been working on opening the store for over a year and are uncertain how much this hit-and-run will delay their plans.
"We were heartbroken because we were finally ready to open in November, and then this happened," owner Dipali Patel said. "Just help us out—find the culprit.
"This isn’t right. They hit the door, shattered everything and just left. Luckily, no one was hurt."
Anyone with information about the incident is urged to contact Wake Forest Police.
