The large fire, which involved several cars and construction materials, is now under control with no injuries reported, according to John Underhill, battalion chief of the Wendell Fire Department.
"We had several fuel fires spreading from vehicle to vehicle, as the vehicles were tightly packed together," Underhill said. "We worked to separate them."
WRAL News witnessed employees from RG Communications Inc. arriving at the scene.
The property owner, speaking off-camera, mentioned that these vehicles belonged to a former business and said RG Communications was acting as a subcontractor.
Underhill said, for the public, there are no environmental concerns associated with the fire at this time.
