Can you guess Democratic vice presidential candidate Tim Walz's Cook Out order in Raleigh?

Democratic vice presidential candidate Tim Walz and Democratic Gov. Roy Cooper visited a Cook Out to order milkshakes on Thursday.

Walz is visiting Raleigh as part of an invitation-only fundraiser for Kamala Harris’ campaign in midtown Raleigh. Thursday’s private event marks Walz’s first stop in North Carolina as the Democratic vice-presidential nominee.

On Thursday, Walz and Cooper visited the Cook Out at 3222 South Wilmington St. in Raleigh. The restaurant is in the Chapanoke Square business center.

Walz ordered a mint chocolate chip milkshake and Cooper ordered an M&M milkshake.

Walz said he’s worked together with Cooper for years. Also, Walz said North Carolina has a dynamic economy and is a good place for the middle class.

The two then visited a campaign in downtown Raleigh. Walz and Cooper brought cookies.

On a chalkboard, Walz wrote, “Never underestimate public school teachers.”

Cooper wrote, "Go, fight, win!"

People in the office were participating in a phone bank. Walz got on the phone with a supporter. He also took some selfies, shook hands and spoke to the crowd. He talked about the importance of North Carolina in November’s election.

“Sixty-eight days is nothing,” Walz said. “Sleep when you’re dead.”

Walz and Cooper then went to the private fundraising event at the Crabtree Center.

In January, President Joe Biden visited Raleigh and also visited a Cook Out. Biden ordered a bacon cheeseburger, fries, and a “black and white” shake — vanilla ice cream with chocolate syrup — that he referred to as “triple thick.”
