A death investigation is being conducted after a tree fell on a home, according to officials with the Rockingham County Sheriff's Office.
A 78-year-old woman has died after a tree fell on her mobile home, raising the death toll from Debby to at least eight. This happened on Clearwater Lane in Browns Summit.

The death was first confirmed by the Williamsburg Volunteer Fire Department. Officials said she was in the bathroom at the time. The death was storm-related, and high winds were a factor in the tree falling.
