Right North Carolina welcomes back Vice President Kamala Harris to

Greensboro to get ready to defeat Donald Trump in November

Do you know that this is the vice president's 14th

trip to North Carolina since she's been Vice President

And it's fitting that we welcome her right here at

historic Dudley High School because she knows a thing or

two about blazing trails and shattering barriers

Just like so many graduates of this amazing school have

done

Look folks I have known Kamala Harris for more than

12 years going back to our days as state attorneys

general

I know she is a fighter

I know I know she gets the job done and

I know that she and Joe Biden need four more

years to finish the job

They start

We're just 100 and 17 days away from the biggest

election of our lifetime and I know that tensions are

high right now but we must and we will come

together

because this election is not just about what kind of

president we want to have this election is about what

kind of country we want to be

Now Donald Trump's America is where the wealthy get the

breaks and the working families get the shaft

Do we want Donald Trump's America You know Donald Trump's

America is where the end of Roe V

Wade is a great thing and politicians police women's bodies

Do we want Donald Trump's America Donald Trump's America is

where the president is a convicted felon a chronic liar

and the king of chaos

Do we want Donald Trump's America Donald Trump's America is

where the president incites an angry mob to burn down

our democracy and then calls him patriots

Do we want Donald Trump's America You know four years

ago we told Donald Trump you're fired

now he wants his job back

But we're going to let him know that that position

is already filled

Donald Trump is a significant threat to our democracy and

our nation and we have to stop him

You know Donald Trump wants to make history by installing

himself as a dictator

But Joe Biden and Kamala Harris would rather make history

with their extraordinary accomplishments for the American people

They passed a bipartisan infrastructure bill that Donald Trump only

talked about but never passed

And now our roads and bridges are being updated

Our ports and railways are being brought into the 21st

century

Our small businesses and rural communities are getting high speed

Internet Joe Biden increased health care coverage while Donald Trump

tried to take it away

Donald Joe Biden lowered the cost of prescription drugs and

health care premiums

And guess what folks he provided the extra mental health

money to help convince our North Carolina Republican legislature to

finally expand Medicaid

Now we have almost half a million North Carolinians enrolled

with health insurance

But you know Donald Trump wants to snatch these new

health insurance cards right out of people's hands

He came within one vote of destroying the Affordable Care

Act when he was president and he has vowed to

try again

We must stop him

Joe Biden and Kamala Harris know that we can never

back down when women's health is on the line

They're doing everything they can to protect and restore abortion

rights because we ought to leave medicine to the doctors

and the decisions to the women

and make no mistake

Donald Trump is not going to stop at overturning Roe

V Wade

He's already promised to do more if he gets the

chance just check out project 2025

When you get a chance my fellow North Carolinians can

we stop him Can we beat Donald Trump right here

in North Carolina Can we deny him the presidency Of

course we can and we must

And here's what I know to be true when the

fate of our country was hanging in the balance with

the Donald Trump presidency Joe Biden saved this nation with

his victory in 2020 we must do it again in

2024

but it's gonna take all of us

So now for the next 117 days we have to

be on the doors on the phones on social media

on our cars on top of our game to stop

Donald Trump's dark vision of America and make sure that

Joe Biden and Kamala Harris can finish the job they

started
