A heavily armed man was arrested inside a Monroe Walmart on Monday, according to the police department.

That man, 32-year-old Moja Kemet Estep, was charged with going armed to the terror of people. The incident happened around 2 p.m. at the store on West Roosevelt Boulevard.

Upon arrival, officers found Estep wearing a bulletproof vest, carrying an assault-type rifle, a handgun in his waistband, and an additional handgun holstered on his side.

Estep was detained without incident, and authorities said there is no danger to the public.
