A man was seriously injured in a plane crash on Sunday afternoon.

According to State Highway Patrol, a 2000 single-engine Cessna attempted to land around 12:20 p.m. at Lake Norman Airpark and struck several trees, crashing into the front yard of a home on the 100 block of Normandy Road.
