Code red lockdown lifted at Hilburn Academy

Hilburn Academy was temporarily under a code red lockdown on Tuesday afternoon.

A message was posted to the academy's website, reading "Our school is under Code Red. Students are safe. Check your email and the school website for updates."

Later, the message was updated to state "Our school is now in Code Green. Students are safe and will remain in classrooms for a controlled dismissal."

The circumstances around what prompted the lockdown are not known.
