A fourth person was arrested Thursday in connection to a deadly shooting that occurred on Sept. 13, 2023, in central Hillsborough.
The shooting occurred around 10 p.m. in the 200 block of West Orange Street in Hillsborough, supposedly at a home. CaileeAzariah Parker, 20, of Durham was killed, and an 18-year-old Hillsborough woman was injured. The surviving victim’s name is not being released at this time in the investigation.

The fourth arrest involves a person who was 17 years old at the time of the shooting. The suspect has been charged with the following crimes:
- Aiding and abetting first-degree murder
- Aiding and abetting assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill or inflict serious injury
- Robbery with a dangerous weapon
- Conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon
Previously, three arrests were made in September and October related to this shooting. A 19-year-old and two juveniles were arrested.
Hillsborough police arrested a 17-year-old in September 2023. That teen was charged with the following crimes:
- First-degree murder
- Robbery with a dangerous weapon
- Felony conspiracy
- Assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill
Another 17-year-old was arrested in October 2023. The suspect was charged with the following crimes:
- First-degree murder
- Assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill or inflict serious injury
- Robbery with a dangerous weapon
In October 2023, 19-year-old Coreiaja Woodard, of Durham, was arrested and charged with the following crimes:
- Aiding and abetting first-degree murder
- Aiding and abetting assault with a deadly weapon with the intent to kill or inflicting serious injury
- Robbery with a dangerous weapon
- Conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon
- Contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile
"At this point, all of the offenders from this case are in custody," said Sgt. Will Felts, who is leading the investigation.
