Woman, two children okay after car window shattered in Raleigh shooting

A woman had her car window shattered by a bullet Wednesday night in downtown Raleigh.

According to authorities, the shooting happened at the corner of Person Street and East Davie Street.

Police said a woman was driving her two children north on Person Street when a bullet hit her car window.

Chris Huie was down the street at Moore Square when he heard the shots.

"At first, it sounded like fireworks," Huie said. "Then we heard the police cars and I came right over to see what was going on."

According to authorities, no one was hit by the bullet and the woman only sustained minor cuts from the broken glass.

Currently, police have not announced a suspect or have anyone in custody.

Police recovered one shell casing and are attempting to recover surveillance footage near where the shooting happened.
