Dreamville Fest tickets go on sale this week

Tickets for the 2023 Dreamville Festival, go on sale this week.

The music festival, created by Fayetteville native and rapper J. Cole, will return to Dix Park on Saturday, April 1 and Sunday, April 2.

Two-day general admission and general admission plus tickets and several VIP ticket options will go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 18.

If you want to get tickets before Friday, a special pre-sale will start on Tuesday at 10 a.m. for fans who have signed up for the official Dreamville Festival newsletter. To participate, fans can sign-up by visiting www.DreamvilleFest.com or texting the word DREAMVILLE to 68624.

The line-up for the 2023 festival has not been announced yet.

An estimated 80,000 people attended the festival this year after a years-long break due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The first festival in 2019 attracted a crowd of 40,000 for just one day.

This year's festival featured multiple stages and popular artists like T-Pain and Ari Lennox along with new rappers. There is also a family-style cookout, artists, vendors, muralists and performers.

A shuttle service was used to get some Dreamville attendees to Raleigh's largest park this year, alleviating some traffic concerns. Still, long lines and waits were reported as crowds ascended on Dix Park.

Security measures are in place to protect festival goers. Although last year's festival ran smoothly overall, an arrest was made during a fight at the festival, and one person was injured during a concert.

Mayor Mary-Ann Baldwin said the economic impact of the festival on Raleigh is huge. The first festival in 2019 brought in $3.8 million to businesses.
