The light rain that started on Sunday afternoon will continue into Monday morning.

Counties north of Wake are expected to see the most rain.

For the start of the work week, Sheerwood said she anticipates it to be dry with clear skies and dry air.

"We're going to see refreshing, comfortable conditions move in," Sheerwood said.

After the system bringing rain moves out of the area on Sunday, drier air will move into North Carolina.
