Drag queen storytime interrupted by protesters, Proud Boys

a drag queen story session at Sparks Library was met

with protests from a right wing conservative group the proud

boys protesting against L G B T Q plus rights

This is beginning to take this country back for God

in the pledge of allegiance to God and they do

things like this

Sparks Pd was monitoring the scene from a distance but

left when protesters began to leave right

When the protests came to an end though a man

seen wearing proud boy clothing approach the library with a

gun causing everyone outside including Children to run into the

library for cover

It's infuriating because you talk about the sanctity and the

innocence of Children and that we need to protect them

But you have people screaming hateful awful misinformed things

As Children are walking into a library parents do say

they are not intimidated by the protesters

Instead they feel encouraged to continue bringing their Children to

events that celebrate equality and inclusion

We're trying to teach our kids all about equal rights

and everything like that and we don't hide anything from

them

Sparks police did monitor the protest from a distance but

soon left
