Pembroke man found dead in yard, son charged with his murder

A Pembroke man is in the Robeson County Detention Center, held without bond and charged with murdering his father.

Noah C. Maynor, 20, was arrested on Sunday evening after his father Patrick L. Maynor, 52, was found dead in the front yard of a home in the 8800 block of N.C. Highway 72 West.

Authorities said Patrick Maynor had been both shot and stabbed. They said the motive for the attack was still under investigation.
