The run, which will take place on Saturday at noon at Motorco Music Hall in Durham, raises money and awareness of neurofibromatosis (NF), a rare genetic disorder that impacts 1 in 3000. All net proceeds fund research through the Children's Tumor Foundation.

Morgan St., Durham) - North Carolina native Fortune Feimster will take the stage for three shows at Carolina Theatre of Durham this weekend. The Carolina Theatre of Durham is requiring all fans to provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours OR full vaccination for entry. The City of Durham is requiring face coverings to be worn while at the theater except while eating or drinking.
Alton Brown Live: Beyond The Eats (Durham Performing Arts Center, 123 Vivian St., Durham) - Alton Brown is hitting the road with a new culinary variety show. Audiences can expect more comedy, more music, more highly unusual cooking demos, and more potentially dangerous sciencey stuff. See him on stage with two shows at DPAC on Sunday.
Black Violin (Durham Performing Arts Center, 123 Vivian St., Durham) - Black Violin will bring its Grammy-nominated album, Take the Stairs, to the stage on Saturday night at DPAC. For this event, guests 12 years-of-age and older are required to provide documentation of full COVID-19 vaccination status or as an alternative, documentation of a recent negative COVID-19 test. Masks must be worn inside the venue.

Cat Show - It's TICA time (NC State Fairgrounds - Holshouser Building, 1025 Blue Ridge Rd, Raleigh) - This annual cat show will be held at the Holshouser Building at the N.C. State Fairgrounds on Saturday and Sunday. There will be pedigreed and companion (household) cat competitions as well as vendors and local shelters.

3rd Saturdays Local Maker + Vintage Market (Durty Bull Brewing Company, 206 Broadway St Ste 104, Durham) - Durty Bull will be hosting monthly markets in the parking lot every third Saturday of the month. The markets will feature local makers and vendors. This month's market features barbecue from Soulful Peartree Country Cooking and Catering. The market runs noon to 4 p.m and will be followed by live music from 4 to 6 p.m.
