Three Kings Day Parade (Downtown Cary) - Three Kings Day celebrates the end of the Christmas season, and is traditionally the day on which children in Spanish-speaking countries receive their gifts from the Los Tres Reyes (the Three Kings or Wise Men). Cary's Three Kings Day celebration on Saturday will include dancing, music, food and a colorful parade featuring members of different Latino cultures. Presented by Diamante, Inc. and Town of Cary.

Downtown Raleigh Illuminate Art Walk (Downtown Raleigh) - Downtown Raleigh comes to light with Illuminate, a light-based art walk. This five-week activation takes place in Downtown Raleigh's Fayetteville Street and Glenwood South districts. Illuminate will transform plazas and underutilized spaces with a large-scale interactive installation, light-based sculptures, and projection art. Installations are shining nightly through Friday.

Hot Shots: Comedy and Spicy Food (Goodnight's Comedy Club/The Grille at Goodnight's, 861 W. Morgan St., Raleigh) - Join host Tyler Wood as he and his friends attempt to eat ghost pepper hot sauce drenched food and do comedy. The show is Saturday night at 8 p.m. at Goodnights Comedy Club. Tickets are $20. Masks are required for entry to the club but can be removed once seated.
Rod Man (Goodnight's Comedy Club/The Grille at Goodnight's, 861 W. Morgan St., Raleigh) - Rod Man quickly became one of the most in-demand comedians in the country following his first place finish on "Last Comic Standing" in 2014. See him at Goodnights Comedy Club Friday through Sunday. Guests are required to wear masks when entering the club. When customers are seated, they are permitted to remove such covering.
Nickelpoint Brewing Comedy Night (Nickelpoint Brewing Company, 506 Pershing Road, Raleigh) - Nickelpoint Brewing hosts this comedy night on the first Friday of every month. Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door.
Hammered Trivia w/ Thor (Durty Bull Brewing Company, 206 Broadway St Ste 104, Durham) - Test your trivia knowledge during this weekly event at Durty Bull Brewing Company from 2 to 4 p.m.
Drag Story Hour at Umami (Umami Asian Bistro, 2420 Hillsborough Street, Raleigh) - Umami restaurant on Hillsborough Street will host its first Drag Story House hosted by Jada J Agave and special guest Candis Cox. They will read books and discuss how they relate to life and just have a great time! There is no cover charge to attend the event, which runs from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday.
Dressing the Abbey (North Carolina Museum of History, 5 East Edenton Street, Raleigh) - Experience original costumes worn by the stars of Downton Abbey that depict fashions of the British aristocracy in the early 20th century during this exhibit at the North Carolina Museum of History.

Mutts and Marshmallows 5K, 8K, Fun Run (WakeMed Soccer Park, 201 Soccer Park Drive, Cary) - This annual race will hold an in-person run on Saturday morning at 9:30 a.m. at WakeMed Soccer Park. All people who finish the race get a medal, a mug and all the hot chocolate they can drink. Dog owners are welcome to run with their pups in both the 5K and 8K, there is no longer an event just for dogs. The full $10 dog fee goes to support the Wake County SPCA. The race is being held virtually through Saturday.
Exquisite Creatures: The Art of Christopher Marley (N.C. Museum of Natural Sciences, 11 West Jones Street, Raleigh) - Check out this exhibit featuring a collection of 350 stunning displays of rare (and real) organisms from all over the world from artist Christopher Marley. Each piece celebrates the conjunction of art, science and nature. The exhibit runs through March 19 at the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences.
School of Rock Raleigh Presents An Afternoon of Rock 'n Roll (Lincoln Theatre Raleigh, Raleigh) - School of Rock Raleigh presents an afternoon of live music performed by students ages 8 through 18, plus a special appearance from its adult band. The show starts at 3 p.m. Sunday at Lincoln Theatre. Tickets are free and all ages are welcome. Masks are required. School of Rock will also live-stream the show for those who aren't able to attend in person.
