Almost a year after the 2020 election, some Republicans continue to hold onto the belief that vote totals were tampered with and the results were fraudulent.
Members of the House Freedom Caucus threatened Thursday to take law enforcement to the Durham County Board of Elections to inspect voting machines. But when state and local elections officials noted that North Carolina law prohibits anyone but elections workers from opening up machines, they later backed down.
