Nash County Sheriff's Office is investigating a body found in a field off Ward Road and Lonesome Pine Road in Nash County.
A friend of the family says the body belongs to Brandon Battle, a 26-year-old man who had been missing.

Battle was reported missing when he did not show up for work. He worked Monday night and got home around 12:30 a.m., according to the family friend.
Battle left his home around 15 minutes later and the family hasn't seen or heard from him since, she said.
Nash County officials were out searching for him with dogs yesterday. Officials said the death is not criminal, but have not elaborated.
