My house is full for the first time this summer. Both of my daughters are home until they leave for college in late August.
This means family dinners, family Netflix binging and, of course, shopping. I love having both of my girls at home even though we live in a much smaller house now. It feels so good to have kids on couches wrapped up in throw blankets, watching TV, asking me if we have anything for dessert.

I look forward to visiting them at their respective colleges in Virginia and Pennsylvania. But I also look forward to more good times in our new home when we are all together again—holidays and vacations when we will continue to create new memories.
Parenting has seasons, and they are all equally important. I will embrace this time with a certain understanding that they will never “live” at home again. They will always be visiting. But when they do, I will have a full house and a full heart.
