Marbles Kids Museum will host three sensory friendly playtime sessions this summer.

The programs are designed exclusively for kids with disabilities and their families to experience the downtown Raleigh museum in a calmer, quieter environment.

Here's the schedule for this summer:

  • 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., June 15
    • 9 a.m. to noon, July 4
      • 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., Aug. 10

        On July 4, the museum's IMAX theater also will offer a lights up, sound down movie screening at noon. During these screenings, the theater doesn't get so dark and the audio isn't so loud.
