A new ALDI grocery store is coming to Goldsboro, NC!

Jeff Bianchetta, ALDI Petersburg Division Vice President shared the following with WRAL in response to our e-mail about a possible new location: "Thanks for reaching out. We are excited to confirm we are planning to open a new ALDI store in Goldsboro, North Carolina, this year. We will reach back out once we have more specific details."
According to construction bid information posted in January 2021, the store will be located at 1203 N Berkeley Blvd, Goldsboro, NC in the old Bed, Bath and Beyond building.
The remodeling will include construction of a new entry and exit facade.
The information about the new ALDI was shared originally on Feb. 3, 2021 on the Facebook page "Bring Aldi to Goldsboro" which includes over 400 people who have been hoping for an ALDI in their town.
Heather Thomas, who happens to be a long-time WRAL Smart Shopper reader, started the page over 3 years ago. Heather had asked ALDI to consider Goldsboro, NC for a new store and then started the page as a "campaign of mine to see how many likes I can get in hopes to influence them."
Based on the comments, those on her Facebook page are very excited about the possibility of not having to drive to Wilson or Kinston for their ALDI deals.
