Two evacuated from Durham home during fire

Two people were evacuated from a Durham home during a fire, according to officials. More than 40 firefighters responded to a house fire on the 1200 block of Fayetteville Street at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday.

The fire burned through two floors of the home, according to officials.

The two people in the home were rescued from the fire by a ladder from the Durham Police Department.

Crews extinguished the fire in a few minutes, officials said, and no one was injured.

The Durham Fire Department is still investigating the cause of the fire.
