The FBI is asking for help identifying a suspect who has robbed 16 banks, including five in North Carolina.
The man is accused of robbing banks in Tennessee, South Carolina and North Carolina.

The robber is connected to bank robberies dating back to 2009.
Agents said during the robberies, the suspect walked, or jumped, behind the teller, threatened bank employees with a gun in his right hand and instructed bank employees to help him put money from the vault into a bag he brought with him.
The suspect told employees to identify bait money and dye packs and then ordered them to get on the floor. Agents said when possible, the suspect left in the back of the bank and was not seen getting into a car.
Law enforcement said although he is heavily disguised, the suspect walks with a limp that affects his right leg that could help identify him. The suspect is described at a white male, about 40-years-old. He is believed to be 6'2 and between 210-250 pounds. Agents said the suspect speaks with a deep voice and wears a mask, coat and gloves.
The most recent robbery was on Nov. 27 in Etowah, North Carolina. Agents are working to determine if the suspect is connected to other robberies.
The FBI is offering a $15,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the serial bank robber.
