Silver Alert canceled for missing Durham man

The Silver Alert for Edward Jerome Crump was canceled Sunday evening. There was no word on Crump's status.

Durham police are searching for a missing 52-year-old man, Edward Jerome Crump.

The North Carolina Center for Missing Persons has issued a Silver Alert for Crump, who is believed to be suffering from dementia or some other cognitive impairment.

Crump is 5-foot-7 and weighs about 170 pounds. He has short black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing casual clothing, according to Durham police.

He was last seen at 1118 Wyldewood Road in Durham. Police said he could possibly be traveling to Liberty Street, Urban Ministries or a shelter or bus stop.
