An 18-year-old Durham man has been arrested after an armed robbery at a convenience store.

Jonathon Winfred High has been charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon, conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon , injury to personal property and two counts of assault by pointing a gun, the Durham County Sheriff's Office said Tuesday.

Authorities believe High entered the JoyMart at 1624 Glenn School Road in Durham on Jan. 19 and demanded someone open the register.

In surveillance video released by the sheriff's office, the robber jumps over the counter, rips the cash drawer away from its bolted attachments and leaves the store.

High was on probation for previous felony charges when he was arrested, the sheriff's office said.

He was being held in the Durham County jail on a $25,000 bond.
