The menu was developed by Executive Chef Drew Smith, who won the 2019 Cooking for a Classic dining competition.
In addition to the regular menu, there is an omakase option that includes five and seven course tasting menus with wine pairings.
The restaurant space was renovated for several months to create a "zen-like" ambiance that includes fountains and living walls.
In January 2017, ān cuisines suddenly closed citing "operational losses." In June 2018, buku owners announced plans to take over the space.
Kō•än's hours are Monday through Thursday 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Lunch and brunch service will be available soon.
