You now have a few more hours to look for books each week in Wake County. The Wake County Public Library system added more hours in September to its weekly schedule.
As of last month, all regional and community hours have expanded hours. And the Athens Drive, Duraleigh Road, Southgate, Wendell and Zebulon community libraries are now open on Sundays.

Library hours are now:
- 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Thursday.
- 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Friday and Saturday.
- 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday.
Two exceptions: The Express Library Fayetteville Street in downtown Raleigh and the Olivia Raney Local History Library have different hours. The Fayetteville Street location is open 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., weekdays. The Olivia Raney location is open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., weekdays, and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturdays.
