It's peach season, which means they're on sale at the grocery store and there are heaps of them at local farmers' markets.

This recipe makes for a super easy dessert or treat. Ripe or not-so-ripe peaches will do.

Roasted Peaches

Adapted from All Recipes

For each peach, you'll need 2 teaspoons of brown sugar, two slivers of butter and a dusting of cinnamon.

Preheat your oven to 400 degrees. Layer a 9x13 inch baking dish with foil or parchment paper for easy clean up.

Slice each peach in half. Remove the pit. For each peach half, drop 1 teaspoon of brown sugar onto the foil. Top the brown sugar with a small sliver of butter and a bit of cinnamon. So, if you're using two peaches, you'd do four dollops, one for each half. Here's how it looks.

Then, set a peach half, cut side down, on top of the sugar and butter, so it looks like so.
