Some communities will kick off Fourth of July celebrations with fireworks on Wednesday night, and while the displays are fun to watch, but the booms can be nerve-wracking for pets.
The American Humane Association reports that July 5 is the busiest day of the year for animal shelters because pets can panic and run off after hearing the noise of the fireworks.
