Verizon network problems reported along East Coast

Customers of Verizon Wireless up and down the East Coast may have missed text messages Tuesday morning.

Reports of problems spiked as mobile service users started their day. The earliest reports came in to DownDetector just after 5:30 a.m. from locations in New York City and Philadelphia.

While customers used Twitter to complain, the company was trying to keep up with answers, promising a resolution soon and suggesting that users restart their devices.
