Mike Shinoda (The Ritz, 2820 Industrial Drive, Raleigh) - Shinoda, who founded Linkin Park, will perform solo.
Fright Nights Haunted House (8404 Smith Road, Apex) - 2018 Fright Nights feature a haunted forest walk, a bigger and better haunted maze and a mad scientist laboratory, as well as entertainment and photo opportunities with monsters. Admission is free, but donations are collected for the NC Food Bank and Duke PBMT Family Support Program. There will be more shows on Friday and Saturday.
Neptunes Karaoke (14 W. Martin Street, Raleigh) - Karaoke is every Tuesday from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. 21 and over only.
Wednesday
The Tenors (Carolina Theatre of Durham, 309 West Morgan Street, Durham) - The Canadian vocal super group blends classical music and contemporary pop. Tickets are $50.
FTMF's Florence Relief Benefit Concert (The Pinhook, 117 W. Main Street, Durham) - Dirty Dub, The Beast and Maj Deeka will play. A $10 suggested donation will go toward hurricane relief efforts in Wilmington.
Amy Ray and Her Band ((Motorco, 723 Rigsbee Avenue, Durham) - For over 30 years, Amy Ray has been renowned as one half of the Grammy-award winning folk duo Indigo Girls. She is also a community activist and has had an indie label.
Thursday
Fall Festival (Park West Village, Village Market Place, Morrisville) - Bring the family out for a night of trick-or-treating, hayrides, music and a free outdoor movie-screening at sunset. Enjoy discounts and specials at select restaurants and shops in the District for being in costume, and participate in the costume photo contest.
Fall Kilt Night (The Maywood, 658 Maywood Avenue, Raleigh) - Scotland's own Warrior Pipes & Drums will perform along with NC-based Celtic rockers The Born Again Heathens. Tickets are $20 in advance.
Neal Brennan (A.J. Fletcher Opera Theater, 2 E. South Street, Raleigh) - Neal is currently a writer, Creative Consultant, and on-air correspondent on Comedy Central’s The Daily Show with Trevor Noah.
Beer Release: Running with Scissors (Durty Bull Brewing, 206 Broadway St #104, Durham) - The brewery is celebrating Thanksgiving a month early with the release of "Running With Scissors," a Cranberry-Cinnamon Sour.
Friday
A Walk in the Dark (N.C. Museum of History, 5 E. Edenton Street, Raleigh) - In this immersive live theater experience, audiences will follow pirates, pilots, and pioneers as they twist and turn throughout a lantern-lit tour of the real Story of North Carolina! There will be a family-friendly event on Saturday.
International Festival of Raleigh (Raleigh Convention Center, 500 S Salisbury St, Raleigh) - The three-day festival has great international food, cultural exhibits, ethnic crafts and lessons as well as bazaars with varieties of international items for sale. Two stages feature global dance performances and music, and the kid's corner offers fun for young citizens of the world.
Fall Wine Walk (Waverly Place, Cary) - Receive a sampling cup and access to the event with a $10 donation to the Kay Yow Cancer Fund.
Halloween Phantasmagoria 2018 (Duke Homestead, 2828 Duke Homestead Road, Durham) - Explore historical concepts of Spiritualism, awe and wonder from the 19th century starting at 6:30 p.m.
