Unsettled weather will persist for another day across parts of the Gulf Coast and Tennessee Valley on Monday. Localized flooding will remain a concern following days of rainfall. Unseasonable heat and humidity will continue for another day from Mississippi and Alabama into Georgia, Florida and the Carolinas. Expect scattered thunderstorms in the area.

Rain will spread north across the Ohio Valley and throughout the Middle Atlantic states. The combination of thick clouds and persistent rainfall will keep temperatures below normal across the region.

The Northeast will have one more dry and chilly day. Sunshine will be limited across southern New England while areas from northern New York to Maine can expect mostly sunny skies.

A couple of showers will spread across the northern Plains as another area of chilly air begins to settle across the region. There may be a few thunderstorms in the afternoon from Nebraska into southern Minnesota.

Much of the West can expect dry weather, aside from brief showers in Montana and northern Wyoming. Hot and dry weather will continue across California, southern Nevada and the western Arizona region.

Gusty winds sweeping through the interior West will enhance the risk of wildfires.
