The Mega Millions jackpot has surged past $400 million for only the seventh time in the game’s 16-year history.

According to the Mega Millions website, no ticket matched all six numbers drawn Tuesday night. As a result, Friday’s jackpot is estimated at a whopping $422 million, which would translate to $254.8 million in cash.

If won at that level, it would be the sixth largest Mega Millions prize ever.

There was no grand prize winner in Tuesday's Mega Millions drawing. It's the 23rd straight drawing without a jackpot winner in the game, dating back to Oct. 13. So the $361 million jackpot will grow to $418 million for Friday.

Twenty-two jackpots have been won in the month of July since the game began in 2002, including the largest prize ever won on a single Mega Millions ticket – an Indiana family won $536 million on July 8, 2016.

That remains the third largest jackpot ever awarded in the game.

The top Mega Millions jackpots to date include $656M on March 30, 2012, $648M on Dec. 17, 2013 and $536 M on July 8, 2016.
