Power restored to nearly 3K Wake Forest customers

Power has been restored to nearly 3,000 customers in Wake Forest after an outage was reported in the area Wednesday morning

Officials blamed the outage on a faulty main breaker for the power loss, which affected customers in the areas of Jenkins Road, Tyler Run, Bennett Park, Holding Ridge Subdivision, Wake Forest Crossing, Highgate Subdivision, Swans Cove Subdivision, Durham Road, Remington Woods Subdivision, Richland Drive and the northeast side of town.

Officials estimate that 2,900 customers were affected by the outage.
