I always thought fresh transfers were the way to go with IVF. I mean you want fresh beef and not frozen beef, right? Well, apparently the freezer is our friend during IVF.

After a successful incubation using Invocell IVF, we had five good blastocysts that made it to day five. Their grades are AB, BA, BB, BB and BB. (Note: AA is a perfect blastocyst grade)

Frozen transfers are preferred by some doctors because it gives the body a chance prepare for the next challenge. I've read that some clinics only do frozen transfers because of the risk for ovarian stimulation.

Turns out the protocol for a frozen transfer isn't too bad. Birth control pills then estrogen and progesterone shots - nothing like egg retrieval! ​
