Here's what's happening in the General Assembly on Wednesday, June 6:
- Gov. Roy Cooper has scheduled a 3:15 p.m. news conference to announce whether he will sign the $23.9 billion state budget lawmakers approved last week, veto it or allow it to become law without his signature.
- The Senate is expected to take up the annual Farm Bill, including a provision to define milk, a proposal designed to finance more road construction projects statewide and one creating a system to track rape kits at law enforcement agencies statewide.
- The House calendar includes bills on town-owned charter schools near Charlotte and threat assessment teams for all schools, as well as a resolution honoring Israel.
