Several people were displaced from their homes Sunday morning after a fire at a townhome community in east Raleigh.
According to officials with the Red Cross, firefighters responded to the 1900 block of New Bern Avenue, where fire had damaged two homes.

Abut six or seven people and their pets were displaced, officials said.
The American Red Cross is assisting the families.
