Tapas, wine bar to open in downtown Raleigh

A wine and tapas restaurant will be opening in the warehouse district in downtown Raleigh.

Barcelona Wine Bar will be located in The Dillon mixed-used development, Kane Realty announced Tuesday. The restaurant's menu is inspired by Mediterranean, Spanish and South American cuisine. The bar will include an award-winning selection of wines from Spain and South America.

This will be Barcelona Wine Bar's first North Carolina location. The restaurant has locations in Atlanta, Boston, Philadelphia, Nashville, Reston, Va., Washington, D.C., and throughout Connecticut.

The Dillon, which is expected to be completed next year, includes an 18-story office tower with retail space and two six-story apartment buildings. It will take up an entire city block bound by South West, West Martin, South Harrington and West Hargett streets.
