This recipe was passed down from family members, who hail from cranberry country in Massachusetts. It's a family favorite at my house.
You can score a great deal on fresh cranberries this time of year. So I always buy several extra bags and stick them in the freezer so I can make this bread all year.

Cranberry Orange Bread
2 cups flour
1 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup cranberries, chopped
2 eggs
2 tablespoons melted butter
2 tablespoons boiling water
1/2 cup orange juice
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Prepare a loaf pan by spraying it with non-stick spray and lining it with parchment paper so it's easy to pull the bread out once it's done baking.
Mix the dry ingredients together. Add in the chopped cranberries. (It's fine if they're frozen). Then, add the eggs, melted butter and boiling water. Stir so it's all mixed together. Then, add the orange juice and mix until it is combined.
Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Bake for one hour. The bread is done when a toothpick inserted into the middle comes out clean.
