Missing Rocky Mount man found; Silver Alert canceled

UPDATE: 7:00 a.m.: The N.C. Center for Missing Persons said a man who was reported missing on Friday has been found.

The center canceled a Silver Alert for 60-year-old George Michael Butts.

The N.C. Center for Missing Persons has issued a Silver Alert for a missing endangered man, George Michael Butts.

Citizens are asked to be on the lookout for 60-year-old George Michael Butts, who is believed to be suffering from dementia or some other cognitive impairment.

He has white hair, brown eyes, stands 5 feet tall and weighs 145 pounds. He was last seen wearing a white shirt with blue stripes and blue jeans.
