After a warmer-than-usual first week of fall, temperatures have certainly cooled down this weekend.
According to WRAL Chief Meteorologist Greg Fishel, the weekend will continue to be "picture perfect," with clear skies, mild temperatures and little threat for rain.

Overnight and into Sunday, temperatures will fall into the low 50s. Bu throughout the course of the day, temperatures will heat up to the 70s.
Sunday will be partly to mostly cloudy, breezy and cooler with some spotty light rain possible. Highs will again be in the lower to mid 70s.
"It will be breezy, and cool and feel very fall-like, so if you're excited for cooler temperatures, it's going to be a beautiful afternoon," Fishel said.
Expect partly cloudy skies developing in the afternoon, especially east of the Triangle.
"It's going to be brisk and a bit chilly," Fishel said. "I'm looking forward to that. But it's going to warm up just a bit this week."
All week, highs will be in the 70s before a warmer weekend in the 80s.
No rain is in the forecast, even though Fishel said the area could use some rain.
While cold temperatures are nowhere in sight, it's time to pull out the light jackets and say goodbye to the summer heat.
