Grassfire Claims Multiple Structures in Burnet County

Emergency crews from 4 different agencies worked Saturday to contain a grassfire that claimed 2 structures in a rural area near the popular Inks Lake State Park, west of Austin.

The cause of the grassfire is unknown but witnesses say that the fire spread to one structure and the almost immediately to the other.

Crews from around the area quickly extinguished the blaze and as of early Sunday morning were in the process of putting out hotspots and determining the cause of the blaze. No injuries were reported.
